A celebration of children’s literacy in April.

The event begins with a Conference on Children’s Literature for librarians, media specialists, teachers and parents.

The conference is held at the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center at Nova Southeastern University and features nationally known children’s authors, illustrators and storytellers.

The Children's BookFest features the same children’s authors, illustrators and storytellers at a Saturday event held at three libraries across Broward County.

Free book give-a-ways courtesy of TARGET and arts and crafts.

The event culminates at the Main Library in downtown Fort Lauderdale with a family storytelling event, Moonlight Tales.
